一、本中心長期透過文章、海報及動畫等多元方式推廣海洋防災科普知識，期望使大眾增進海洋素養，防範未然並於遇到災害時明白該如何自救。
二、有鑑於「離岸流」及「瘋狗浪」為造成海域遊憩事故之兩大主因，本中心以中英文雙語製作「離岸流」與「瘋狗浪」主題之海報與動畫，將相關資源整合至網址： https://tmec.ntou.edu.tw/p/406-1016-38947,r625.php?Lang=zh-tw ，此專頁亦以「【資訊公告】海洋防災科普宣導資源，歡迎大眾踴躍分享。」標題，於本中心網站公告欄輪播，敬請貴校向師生宣導，盼能減少相關海域遊憩事故。
