閱讀可以使孩子爬上巨人的肩膀，鼓勵小朋友利用學校圖書館資源之餘，希望透過二手書義賣的活動，營造校園閱讀風氣，提升學生對閱讀的興趣，也增加學生閱讀的廣度與深度。
孩子的世界是天真無邪，圖書對他們來說是必要的，提升並培養孩子的閱讀習慣是刻不容緩的。想為二手圖書創造第二生命週期嗎？家中是否有孩子已經不看的圖書，又不知如何整理呢？現在您不用煩惱了。為此我們辦了一個「二手圖書跳蚤市場」的活動，提供學生們最佳「愛書、惜書」傳遞知識的教育機會，鼓勵全校師生參與，增加同儕間對閱讀習慣的認同。
最後，學生不僅可以把不再閱讀的圖書賣給喜歡它的小朋友，而且也不花很多錢就可以買到自己喜愛的圖書。對於買方和賣方而言，可以說是各得所愛、互蒙其益，而且父母也不用常花錢買新圖書給孩子。
