一、該基金會於 1995 年由創辦人黃越綏女士獨資捐助設立，該會以服務弱勢單親家庭為宗旨，透過各類活動方案、專業講座課程等給予單親家庭正確的知識及拓展人際的機會，更藉由專業的個案服務及諮詢，給予心理輔導及社福補助申請等業務的協助與支援，協助單親家庭走出困境。
二、該基金會為表揚辛勤努力的傑出弱勢單親母親，特辦理「2019 年第六屆傑出弱勢單親母親表揚活動」，藉這些不平凡為愛犧牲付出的故事，給予社會大眾正向的啟發，並肯定與表揚弱勢單親家庭突破困境的努力與信念。
